We shall be carrying out maintenance on the part of the ADSL network,  the work should take no longer than 10 minutes but an hour as been advised in case we run into any unforeseen problems.

Only ADSL users on the following realms will be affected

@link.4adsl.net
@adsle

No other realms or network services will be affected. Some users may have to reboot their ADSL hardware to reconnect.

During the above maintenance window the Leased Line and LES circuits will go down for approximately 5 minutes, while hardware is replaced. WES circuits will not be affected.

We are currently experiencing a small network outage.

The main link between our London and Manchester datacentre’s is down, Engineers are currently working it.

During the above maintenance window one of our suppliers will be carrying out a series of tasks that might impact ADSL users on the following realm.
@link.4adsl.net.

Some users might have to reboot their ADSL hardware to regain a connection. ADSL users on other realms will not be affected.

Customers on the Manchester Central Pipe have been experiencing slow speeds, Engineers found the cause and rectified the fault at 17:15hrs on Tuesday the 18th of December.

The @adsla realm migration will take place tonight (06-12-2007) between 8pm and 9pm. The downtime should be only 15 minutes, most connections should re-log onto the network automatically but some users may have to reboot their ADSL hardware.

This is only affecting users with usernames ending in “@adsla”, no other realms will be affected at this time.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

DSL connections with usernames ending in “@adsla” are to be migrated from the current supplier onto our own BT Central pipe. The downtime for this should be no more than 15 minutes, some users will need to reboot their ADSL hardware. We do not have a fixed date for the migration yet but it is expected to be within days. We will of course post the date here ASAP so watch this space.

ADSL connections with usernames ending in ‘@link.4adsl.net’ were disconnected at 16:20hrs this afternoon (30th Nov 2007) for about 30 minutes due to a problem with the upstream provider. The reason for this is currently unknown, engineers are currently looking into the problem.

No other realms were affected at this time. Updates will be posted here as we have them.
