During the above time there was intermittent packet loss on some ADSL connections, this affected a small amount of users with usernames ending in @link.4adsl.net.
The cause of this was a routing problem between us and some of the suppliers routers which are placed around the country. Normal service should now be in place.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Some ADSL connections (about 150) with usernames ending in ‘@link.4adsl.net’ and ‘@adsle’ were disconnected at 15:57 hrs this afternoon (6th Feb 2009), these connections are still offline. The problem is with the upstream provider who are experiencing connectivtity issues in POP’s located in Nottingham and Sheffield, they believe this is due to a Fibre break between Sheffield and Leeds.
We will post more info here as it becomes available.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

During the above window the main smart-connect service router lost connectivity to the rest of the network, this was due to an error on my part when keying in new a IP address. The new IP was being added so the smart-connect service router could be put in a cluster designed to provide extra redundancy for smart-connect service. All connections are now backup and running as expected.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Wayne Lee

There has been some reports of reduced MTU on parts of the ADSL network, this seems to have been caused by a switch reboot last week and is effect a low number of users. The effects of reduced MTU are not being able to reach all websites, these sites are normally Banking sites with high security and others like microsoft.com, msn.com.
We have put some changes in place which should resolve the issue, if you continue to have problems please contact the support team via the normal methods. Some ADSL routers allow you to set the MTU at a fixed level, we have found that a MTU value of 1440 produces the best results.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

About 200 ADSL connections with usernames ending in ‘@adslg’ are currently disconnected, this is due to one of the 622 Central pipes being offline. No other realms are affected at this time. All connections should be able to re-connect via the other 622 pipes
We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
